Windows got some tools such as Ext2Read to access EXT4,EXT3 and EXT2 files systems or partitions remaining from Windows platform. But they are specialized to explore, read and view the files in these file systems or partitions only. Well if you want to read as well as write these partitions from Windows, you can use Ext2Fsd.
Ext2Fsd is an opensource file system driver for Windows that allows you to access EXT4, EXT3 and EXT2 files systems from Windows environment. It works in Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. Using Ext2FSD, all of your EXT partitions will be displayed just like the native NTFS or FAT partitions making it accessible from Windows explorer.
