Voxatron, the new Indie game at HIB

The organizers of Humble Indie Bundle today announced a new initiative on humblebundle.com, which allows anyone to buy Voxatron, an unreleased indie game for the PC at the price that you want.

Voxatron, it’s at this time in Alpha stage, this game is a platform shooter retro-style, with more than 20 rich areas of enemies to defeat. The game is available for Windows PC, Linux and Mac, DRM-free, and with the guarantee that all future updates will be completely free.

Be the first to tackle this voxel-based, old-school-gone-new platform shooter. Pick up your trusty pea gun and shoot your way through more than twenty areas filled with blocky baddies, destructible toys, and palliative powerups.

Get Voxatron’s future content and gameplay updates. As a customer of the Humble Voxatron Debut, you’ll receive access to all of Lexaloffle’s future updates to Voxatron: levels, characters, and more!

Level editor included, with monster creation tools on the way!After conquering the alpha adventure, check out the “BBS Levels” for instant-access to user-created content. Want to make your own voxel masterpiece? Voxde — the Voxatron level editor — is included with every purchase, granting you the ability to create mind-blowing new environments to share with the world. And soon, Lexaloffle plans to add monster creation tools for designing your own blocky bad guys to populate your creations.

They just added two new games to the Humble Voxatron Debut! If you pay above the average price, you’ll receive receive two additional excellent, cross-platform, DRM-free indie games: The Binding of Isaac and Blocks That Matter, plus the brand new Binding of Isaac Halloween update! These two games are optionally redeemable on Steam.

The Binding of Isaac is a gift from the twisted minds of Edmund McMillen and Florian Himsl, bringing players a delicious brew of Legend of Zelda-esque dungeons, Robotron-esque run-and-gun, and action-RPG progression. The recently launched Halloween update adds a ton of content — a new chapter, new bosses, new enemies, new items, a new character, a new ending, and more!

Swing Swing Submarine’s Blocks That Matter is a charismatic platform-puzzler mashup that won the 2011 Dream.Build.Play Challenge Grand Prize. You play as the Tetrobot, a plucky robotic drill that assimilates blocks of varying materials and properties, like sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, and diamond. After absorbing blocks, you’ll need to recreate them in various tetronomic patterns to solve puzzles and traverse levels.
